Born and raised in Havana, Designer José Bénédí descends from a long-established family of fabric traders. With no formal training he began creating clothes while observing and working within his family business.
A successful designer in Havana, Bénédí moved to London in 2000 where he worked for the the Couture Label Kristensen as well as for the House Valentino. In 2003 José Bénédí founded his own designer label Bénédí in Hamburg.
Based on immaculate craftsmanship José Bénédí's distinctive style is the result of a concious research into cuts, volumes and of refined shapes created in harmony with carefully selected raw materials.
The Italian Fashion Chamber (Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana) selected Fashion Designer José Bénédí amongst the world's best new designers for women's wear 2009/2010.
José Bénédí is working in Hamburg and Havana.
